Annual Report of Shannon Foynes Port Company for 2016 in accordance with Section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014
Section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 requires the publication of a report by public bodies each year relating to the number of Protected Disclosures made in the preceding year and of actions taken in response to protected disclosures made. This report must not result in persons making disclosures being identifiable. This is the first annual report of Shannon Foynes Port Company. It covers the period I January 2016 to 31 December 2016. Shannon Foynes Port Company have procedures in place for the making of protected disclosures in line with the Protected Disclosures Act. These set out in detail the process by which a worker of the organisation can make a protected disclosure, what will happen when a disclosure is made and what SFPC will do to protect the discloser. The process supports Shannon Foynes Port Company’s commitment to fostering an environment where everyone who works with the organisation feels able to “speak-up’. There were no Protected Disclosures made to Shannon Foynes Port Company in 2016.
