Adverse Weather – Suspension of Operations
28th February 2018

As Met Eireann (the Irish weather forecasting service) has advised a Red Weather Alert for our region from 1600 on Thursday 01 March, our offices in Limerick and Foynes will close at 13.00 on Thursday 01 March and will remain closed on Friday 02 March. Port operations and services will be suspended for the duration of the red weather alert, with updates to be provided to port users as necessary.

The following notice is being printed in local newspapers in the week ending 20 January 2018.

Shannon Foynes Port Company

Explosives Bye-Laws,2017

( made under the Explosives Act of 1875.)

It is the intention of Shannon Foynes Port Company to amend the above Bye-Laws under Section 34 of the above Act for regulating the conveyance, loading/unloading of Explosives within the jurisdiction of the Shannon Estuary, Foynes Terminal.

It is the intention of Shannon Foynes Port Company to apply to the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform for  the sanction of this amendment to the Bye-Laws in accordance with Section 34 and Section 38 of the Explosives Act 1875.

The draft amendment can be inspected at the Harbour Office, Foynes, Co. Limerick until Friday 16th February 2018.
